Salina Media Connection serves, partners, trains, and offers a voice to the North Central Region.
Creating a difference through media.
Community Access Television of Salina Inc., dba Salina Media Connection is a non-profit organization broadcasting local cable channels (Channel 20 and Channel 21) as Public, Education, and Government. We are funded by cable franchise fees and community sponsors. We stream on ROKU TV and Apple T and our programs can be found on YouTube.
SMC is a membership-based organization, which provides facilities, production equipment, and training to create programs that express creativity, culture, and foster the right to freedom of speech.
Facilities
Salina Media Connection is located on the northwest corner of 9th and Ash in Salina, Kansas in Memorial Hall. We have a 500 square foot studio complete with studio lighting, Chromakey screen, teleprompter, studio cameras and studio control room. We also offer editing stations using iMac Final Cut Pro editing software and PC gaming laptop computers with Sony VEGASand DaVinci editing programs.
SMC has a variety of camera systems and other media equipment available for members to use which includes MOVO (Mobile/cell phone) camera equipment, a media truck with Black Magic switching equipment, and Wirecast streaming equipment which allows us to stream live from any location with Internet access.
